UOCA operates by donation as all true spiritual teachings must not be charged for but freely offered out of loving kindness. It is your chance then to make a gift to us at the end of your retreat.
Cost to us of Retreat/Residence and Donations:
DONATIONS ARE ONLY ACCEPTED AT THE END OF THE RETREAT UNLESS OTHERWISE AGREED.
These are SUGGESTED as a guide to help you. The end decision as to what to donate is up to yourself and is a gift to yourself from the heart. If you have difficulties financially or are uncertain please contact us.
YOU ARE UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO MAKE THIS DONATION BUT WE HOPE YOU DO OUT OF FAIRNESS TO EVERYONE.
Recommended minimum donation is there so please be aware UOCA will be a non profit under a trust and is to be a charitable organisation, so this is the minimum cost to run the centre and is far below commercial charges in order to assist as many people as possible; therefore consider this as an opportunity to show generosity and to offer above the amount suggested by checking the income chart below.
Volunteer work is a way to offer if you have no money, as can gifts of food, furniture and equipment or if you have difficult financial or health circumstances.
INCOME AND ASSETS TABLE TO ASSESS VOLUNTARY AMOUNT DONATED AT END OF RETREAT:
These amounts are subject to change and only a general guideline. UOCA’s goal is to create an equal communist planet. If you earn more you should pay more, because you have the benefit of then helping others come here who are poorer than you. It isn’t fair if a millionaire pays the same as a beggar. The amount includes shared room (couples or group may share a room), daily meals, practices and classes but not necessarily excursions, private tuition, massage or other sessions – see details of your specific retreat and timetable for donations for extra sessions or events. Private rooms add 30%. If you want a private room request it in advance, this will depend on availability and will only be given if space is there.

THE AMOUNT SHOWN IN THE TABLE IS THE AMOUNT SUGGESTED TO DONATE AT THE END OF THE RETREAT.
FOR EXAMPLE YOU EARNED net after tax $45,000 in the last year, but just got a raise so now earn $1250/wk net, have cash, investments $10k, assets market value $60k, less loans of $5k, and your house is currently valued at $650k less mortgage $625k, so your total assets are $90k and you go on a 8 day retreat with your own private room and you have benefited a lot and would like to make a donation then you use the yearly income table, which suggests you donate a total of $800 for the week plus 30% for the private room. So $1,070 is the minimum recommended donation. You feel you really gained a huge amount from the retreat so you donate $1,500.
